Hi, Lincolnite! Within the LGBT project, we try to put people in a) a profession and b) a place. If they're in a cat that has both, so much the better. So having Mr Howard in both categories is redundant. Is there a particular reason for him to be in both? -- SatyrTN (

This may be showing up a problem with our category system: LGBT politician the US gives certain information; Gay politician gives overlapping information. Both are more specific in certain ways: the former is more specific in giving the country, while the latter is more specific in that it specifies gay. So neither one entirely can supercede the other, but they are somewhat redundant. Should we have Gay politicians in the US? This is really a question for the whole project, of course, not a single article's talk page.
