The contents of the State diagram (UML) page were merged into UML state machine on 22 February 2017 and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.

Some of the external links are to sequence diagram sources, not state diagram sources. Mistake? The state diagram has in UML 2 been renamed to State Machine diagram.
