Stair →
Stair (disambiguation) – I'm a bit
WP:ASTONISH-ed that
Stair is a disambiguation page instead of referring to the subject in the article
Stairs, the building structure.
Stairs seems to have an average of 20 times more page views than any other article on the
Stair disambiguation. So, I would say that the disambiguation page should be moved to
Stair (disambiguation) so that the title
Stair can redirect to
Stairs per
WP:PLURALPT.

Support. I am surprised this hasn't been brought up before. Even more surprising is that the Scottish village used to be at this title instead of a dab page. —

Support, of course. But it makes sense that a Scottish village would've held primary topic and has up to this point brought about a dab page. The pro-British Isles bias is extremely fierce on Wikipedia, especially for primary topic.

Oppose: the article
Stairs has (at the time of writing) been viewed 11472 in the last 30 days whereas
stair has only been viewed 202 times in the last 30 days. Clearly therefore there aren't that many people missing out that second 's' and finding themselves at a different article to the one they wanted to go to. As is noted in the introduction of the 'stairs' article, stairs are made up of steps, it's common for people to refer to a singular step or a stairstep but pretty rare for someone to refer to a singular stair, in fact there does seem to be some dispute about whether 'stair' is even a word therefore I'm not that convinced by the idea of invoking
WP:PLURALPT. Therefore I would argue that per
WP:SMALLDETAILS this article should remain at 'stair'. Plus it avoids having another annoying bracketed disambiguation page.
