Sportswear is such an important part of American fashion history that I'm surprised it isn't already covered here. I'll try and expand on the stub but help always welcome! Mabalu ( talk) 17:09, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
I would like to propose a merger and then redirect of American Look (fashion movement) to this article - I have indeed already carried out the merging, and although I am obviously biased (as the article creator of this one), it strikes me that this article has always given a far more comprehensive overview of the same topics discussed in the American Look article. They do essentially seem to be about the same subject. It seems that most of the editors of the American Look page have not been active for a while. Due to my conflict of interest/clear investment in this article, I would appreciate third party thoughts before going ahead and boldly merging/redirecting. Mabalu ( talk) 00:09, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Oppose. As the article creator, I do not support this suggestion. The article makes it transparently clear that the concept of fashion sportswear is something more complicated than simple "casual wear" and it also clarifies (via the hatnote) that this is different to sportswear (activewear). In addition, there are multiple reliable, academic sources and exhibition catalogues confirming this in the citations. Mabalu ( talk) 00:21, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
I'd like to merge Fitness fashion with this. GymBroWhales ( talk) 21:47, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
