skulk

Since skulking has a somewhat technical meaning in ornithology, this word could have its own page. BbGideon ( talk) 18:27, 26 June 2008 (UTC) reply

Don't Merge Resentment and Spite

These are similar emotions, but they have different causes and different effects: We can harm a stranger in some petty way out of *spite*, but *rensentment* requires a specific wrong or injustice. 71.101.56.18 ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:57, 1 March 2009 (UTC). reply

I've never heard spite defined as you put it here (nor as the article describes it), it's always used as a synonym for resentment. If this is incorrect it ought to be noted that it's a common misconception. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.182.130.241 ( talk) 06:21, 23 August 2013 (UTC) reply

Spite in Notes From Underground

I don't understand how my contribution was not helpful to the article. It seems maybe you felt the same way, since now it looks like you've undone your reversion? I feel as if my paragraph is endlessly more valuable than this sentence, in the article for "Spite (Sentiment)"

"'Skulk' is a fanciful or literary name for a group of foxes [3]"

That statement has almost no usefulness in this article. Whereas I mentioned a major usage of the concept of spite in human history. No? Chicopac ( talk) 22:27, 29 September 2008 (UTC) reply

Skulk/Spite - Unrelated pages spliced together??

What is the relationship between spite and skulking? I don't see any connection or reason why they are on a page together, or why skulking redirects here. Skulking is sneaking around, spite is a desire for petty retaliation driven by envy. It looks as though someone inadvertently spliced two unrelated pages together. 216.36.188.184 ( talk) 04:35, 7 November 2008 (UTC) reply

Agreed. The two words have absolutely no relation. 65.31.103.28 ( talk) 04:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Thirded. The words aren't related. Somebody unsplice them, please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.108.211.151 ( talk) 09:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC) reply

Skulking no longer redirects to this article

Skulking now redirects to Skulk (disambiguation) which has a link to skulk in Wiktionary, and all the birds which used to link to this page are now linked to the Wiktionary definition.   SchreiberBike | ⌨  17:36, 16 December 2015 (UTC) reply
