On 3 July 2023, it was proposed that this article be moved from Spectrum Center (arena) to Spectrum Center. The result of the discussion was moved. |
Is there any particular reason that Daktronics is named in the discussion of the center-hung video screens? I know that Daktronics is a major manufacturer of sports video and timing equipment, but most other discussions of sports facilities do not mention the manufacturers of the scoreboards or video screens (which, in some cases, may change every two or three years). Even the discussion of the scoreboard at Charlotte Bobcats Arena: Arena Highlights neglects to mention the manufacturer's name.
"The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the oldest collegiate association of historically black colleges and universities in the United States, will hold their annual Men's and Women's conference basketball tournament at the venue beginning in 2006 and will continue to hold the event there until at least 2009 (the dates of the event will be February 6- March 4 each year)."
Since when does a single conference's basketball tournament take up nearly a month?
While WP:NC states the most common name should be used, I think "Time Warner Cable Arena" IS the name of the arena and CBA is the "nickname". I believe the article should be un-moved. Every stadium article I've seen on wikipedia uses the name of the corporate sponsor. — X96lee15 ( talk) 13:25, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
I live in Charlotte and go to many of the games. I have never heard of this arena called "TWC Arena or The Cable Box" as per the article. I think this should be removed. I'm leaving it though for a second opinion as this may be related to something I'm not aware of. -- 168.215.131.150 ( talk) 20:00, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Someone removed it because it was outdated. I disagree. Until someone makes a new image available, shouldn't we have the old image there?— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:16, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

The Hornets listing in the tenants list is too long and the way I had it (see [1]) looks a lot better SportsFan007 ( talk) 11:02, 22 January 2018 (UTC)SportsFan007
@ Sabbatino: I completely disagree with you and there’s nothing in the link that goes against my version. I think the only here is that you are scared of accepting changes. SportsFan007 ( talk) 19:41, 23 January 2018 (UTC)SportsFan007
Also, your constant negative attitude towards me is extremely rude and unnecessary. SportsFan007 ( talk) 19:48, 23 January 2018 (UTC)SportsFan007
@ Sabbatino: Ok I apologize for the personal attack, will take to infobax talk page. SportsFan007 ( talk) 16:04, 24 January 2018 (UTC)SportsFan007
I would think Spectrum Cente (Charlotte) would work better — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.127.91.117 ( talk) 20:04, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
The Former Names listed in box on the far right needs to be updated. This arena opened in 2005 as the Charlotte Bobcats Arena and in 2008 became the Time Warner Cable Arena. I have updated the main article, but being a new and novice Wiki editor, I have no idea how to update this box. -- Jssaraceno ( talk) 12:20, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Well this is a request and if it can't be done by someone then I'm also asking that when I add the professional wrestling events in it's own section in this wiki for the arena what should I put and what should i do with it? also I wanna know if i can have permission to add that section/subject into this wiki since I see that this arena has a section/subject for Other Events, Basketball, and other type of events/sports. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WrestleLuxury Wiki ( talk • contribs) 17:39, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
