I have changed the "place of origin" to
Bengal since this dish clearly predates the division of Bengal. Similarly I have changed the "Bengali" link in the first sentence and made it point to
Bengali cuisine. The articles on specifically Indian and Bangladeshi cuisines are still mentioned in the "See also" section.

I have again changed the origin to "Bengali", there are plenty of sources discussing West Bengali shorshe ilish and, as far as I can tell, none that say it's only or primarily popular with Bangladeshi immigrants. While I was at it, I also changed the spelling to "shorshe ilish": That's what the sources use, unanimously.

@

this non-sense by @
Za-ari-masen:, Bengali is not a nation, it is an ethnicity. But, they keep putting Bengali as a nation, which it is not. This is pure jingoistic nonsense, which is unaccpetable. (

This is a possible sock IP of a blocked user. I was rather
reverting to the version stored by Huon for his neutral stance which the IP reverted and now they have accused me of jingoism and complaining to Huon himself.

The issue is Bengali is not a "nationality", it is an ethnicity. You revision is not correct. Bangladesh and India are national cusines, but Bengal is a region. (

That is a pure personal attack, everytime you have an opposition, you state they are a sock. However, it turns out to be rubbish, as seen

From
chomchom,
Bengali numbers to
Gauda (city), this user is putting false citation to get their POV across. Admins in Wiki need to look at this. It is unacceptable, the user is putting fake citation or fake claims - that the citation did not claim - to get their POV across. The version in
Gauda (city) stood there for years. It stated that Malda in West Bengal was the main center, yet this user keeps reverting to their version. (

Which fake claims or false citation you are talking about? Let me suggest you something, keep calm, stay out of wikipedia for a while, appeal for a
WP:Standard offer and come with a better mindset. Unnecessarily involving in disputes, war-mongering will get you nowhere. You have been IP-hopping in a number of articles.
