was painted, actress (late 30's to early 50's)
"Punkins" Parker (often referred to as "Some Punkins") was a household word, even picked by Max Factor as the "real Miss America". That seems more likely than the reasons listed. "Punkins" was a buxom blonde, often featured with a jack-o-lantern in promo photos...pretty similar to the nose art (that came after she was well-established). —Preceding
