Hi I was wondering if I could get some help for the notability of Sofia Moshevich. She is a Dr of musicology, and her Doctorate and Two Subsquent books were about Dmitri Shostokovich. This is a narrow field, but amongst Shostokovich enthusiasts she is well known as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtAw2oWKjGs and here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auChkyNoJv0 where her works are cited to give insight into Shostokovich's pieces.
Amongst her peers her works are often cited and she is well known to the DSCH Journal http://dschjournal.com/?s=Moshevich, and there new publications are compared with hers: http://dschjournal.com/book-reviews-30 and
She is part of the academic discourse on Shostakovich https://scholar.google.co.il/scholar?q=moshevich&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&sciodt=0%2C5&cites=14906087994610552349&scipsc=
Her first book was cited 22 times https://scholar.google.co.il/scholar?cites=8476737524789111057&as_sdt=2005&sciodt=0,5&hl=en Her phd cited once https://scholar.google.co.il/scholar?cites=16220841774748377522&as_sdt=2005&sciodt=0,5&hl=en
Furthermore in Toronto she has been known to give opinions on classical music as it pertains to the soviet union, especially Glen Gould

Lastly, well known Toronto prodigy was a student of hers for many years http://www.rickerchoi.com/#!anson-hui-biography/c1vlq http://www.cbc.ca/radio/docproject/a-boy-and-his-piano-1.3248273

I understand that she might not be the most notable graduate of Gnessin, but she is well known and respected in her field and a published author.
