On 27 May 2009 wikipedia user who created this page, "Tomhec" stated that "Slovenian Air Force and Air Defence aim is securing sovereignty of the air space of the Republic of Slovenia (with the help of Italian air force)"
Reason for opening discussion on this subject is a popular belief (without formal references) that "Slovenia pays Italy a certain amount of money each year for defending Slovenian aerospace". For example, wikipedia user "Zastavafan76", who created article "SFR Yugoslav Air Force", stated in that article, without any refference that: "Slovenia pays about 60 million euros a year to the Italian Air Force for defending Slovenian aerospace."
