The Pacific Union Club of SF shows the following information on the death of the Murphy's who owned the bulk of and ran The
Pacific Lumber Company in Humboldt County (unfortunately after Simon, Sr.): MURPHY, Albert Stanwood - 9 Apr 1963 AND MURPHY, Stanwood A. (Albert) - 8 Aug 1972. This may be helpful in determining the family line later as there is some confusion or at least an unknown as of May 2012 as to when the Murphys 1) Arrived at PL in Humboldt and 2) Became President(s) or took control.
