Second-hand shop article should mention that other commonly used terms for similar stores include thrift store/shop and consignment store/shop (both US) and charity shop (UK). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crescent1661 ( talk • contribs) 17:56, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

I'm thinking of merging Charity Shop, Junk shop, Antique shop and Used bookstore into this article. All of them are too fragmented, some stubs, and lots of overlapping material, and I think they'd be better under one more substantial article to explain the concepts and issues more effectively. Views welcomed before I take this on though! ohsimone ( talk) 09:16, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
