Given the backlash to the anti-Semitic posts on the FFF Instagram page that has been widely reported, a section on the controversy should be added. 2601:18C:9001:9B10:4CC2:BA0B:C0D0:82EE ( talk) 15:07, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
Following the commencement of the recent Israel‑Palestine conflict on 7 October 2023, German daily Der Spiegel have run a series of articles examining the pro‑Palestine positions adopted by some prominent climate activists and organizations. As follows. These articles would also class as reliable secondary sources (see previous posting). The translated titles are unofficial.
Beyer et al (2023) on Greta Thunberg and her support for Palestine. [1] Beyer and Schaible (2023) interview with Luisa Neubauer. [2] Spiegel (2023) on Thunberg and Palestine where a Dutch protester took the microphone on stage and complained about the use of political opinion at a climate rally. [3] Speigel (2023) on Fridays for Future. [4] Schaible (2023) on Fridays for Future. [5] Dachsel (2023) on Thunberg and Palestine. [6]

The Guardian newspaper published an opinion piece today, authored by Greta Thunberg and three researcher/activists affiliated with FFF Sweden. [1] The linkage between the climate crisis and the suffering in Gaza by Israeli forces is presented as follows:
Advocating for climate justice fundamentally comes from a place of caring about people and their human rights. That means speaking up when people suffer, are forced to flee their homes or are killed — regardless of the cause.
From my observations, this change in focus is significant and substantial and not limited of FFF Sweden — and warrants coverage in this Wikipedia article at some future time.
I don't think there is a much of a case for covering antisemitism in the context of FFF on Wikipedia — at least, not based on what I have read and seen. But this reorientation in support for the Palestine cause is a clear theme within FFF nationally and internationally (as well as for a number of other climate activist groups and NGOs). Any thoughts perhaps? RobbieIanMorrison ( talk) 09:08, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
Two backgrounders provide substantial coverage on this theme: reporting in The Guardian. [1] And in Der Spiegel international edition. [2]
This is difficult and vexed material. What is clear is that a large part of the youth climate movement now devotes considerable effort to campaigning for the Palestinian cause in Gaza. The German article also tackles the question of antisemitism, understandable in light of its Nazi history. RobbieIanMorrison ( talk) 21:47, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
