About when the player is allowed to use lethal force (where he won't loose points for it), I believe a kill is only allowed when the suspect is about to open fire or is shooting - you are not simply allowed to shout at the suspect them kill him.
In the gas station stage, 3rd stage, if you look at the overhead tv in the main storeroom of the gas station it has an ad for gambling, at the bottom saying "NY Gaming Board" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.253.124.165 ( talk) 08:36, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Check the Irrational Games website as well as online interviews, and you will see that Irrational actually created the "Vengeance Engine" for Tribes: Vengeance from the Unreal Engine. The same Vengeance Engine was used for Swat 4. Tyler 15:23, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Is this necessary? It seems almost like advertising to me.... ViperBite 23:09, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
i think it's neccessary to suggest the massive loss of fanbase on SWAT 4. still a fairly moderate fanbase in America and smaller in germany , but in Australia for example , it's pretty much dead. i think this is due to the lack of support and lack of mods , let alone general problems with SWAT 4 . SWAT 3's popularity on the other hand continued for years , well into the 2000's. this being said though , SWAT 4 was released at a time where it would be in the shadow of hugely hyped games such as Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2.
In the demo officers can't die( They can only become 'incapatated') (you can unload an an entire clip of AP Ammo on an Injured officer's head to test this) are you guys sure they can die in the game? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.140.194.104 ( talk) 14:08, 17 March 2007 (UTC).
Yeah, that's right. Kind of weird though, but they would have needed more voice actors to play those of the replacement SWAT members.
The TTS- article is very small (mostly made up by a list), and I don't think i deserves an own article (the expansion isn't big/popular enough). That's why it should be merged into this one. 217.211.211.182 19:37, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
In the "requirements" part it says:
Multiplayer:
* 32-bit Internet service provider with 56k modem or a local area network
What's a 32-bit isp?? Seems to be copied directly from the box. I'd like to replace it with something like "56k internet connection", but I'm not sure if that's the correct requirement. Can somebody check this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rainmaker52 ( talk • contribs) 19:15, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
In the article, it uses the word "element" to refer to the pairs (blue/red), and "team" to refer to the whole five-man unit. This is obviously backwards, if you pay attention in the game. In SWAT 2 also, a tactical element consisted of five people (a sniper element was two people). To lead four others, a policeman in that game had to have training to be "element leader." I'll change it, no big deal. 71.32.122.235 ( talk) 04:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
The System Requirements were way too long, probably a copypasta, and the images went past the bottom of the article. I've cleaned it up with the sacrifice of one image which I deemed unnecessary. Smurfy 23:04, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
As SWAT's a spin-off from "Police Quest", and features some of the same characters - e.g., Sonny - it should be part of the "Police Quest" category. Sslaxx ( talk) 00:36, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
