SS or RMS?
A few New Zealand newspaper articles published in the 1910s refer to Rotorua as "R.M.S." (sic). I am not sure whether she really was a
Royal Mail Ship, or whether some journalists assumed she was because, for New Zealand, she was such a large and prestigious liner. Therefore I have titled the article "SS", but if any contributor can
WP:VERIFY she was an RMS they are welcome to revise and move the article accordingly.
