question about format for citing books, journal articles, etc.

I'm creating my first Wikipedia BLP and endeavoring to use the appropriate templates. The article includes a bibliography of books and another one of scholarly articles, which I have formatted according the Chicago Manual of Style. But now I've discovered the Template:Cite book, so I reformatted the first book in the list. Is it necessary for me to reformat ALL the books & articles, or will the CMS format suffice (I hope)? Please advise me, O Wiki-universe. I humbly thank you! Beverly Simmons ( talk) 20:47, 13 February 2023 (UTC) reply
