• Good proposal. In this article the Romani people and Romani language is mispelled as its true form is RROMANI. By using the misspelled form it associates the term to the Republic of Romania, where the gypsy community or rromies is less than >1.8% of the population (according to population statistics review in 1966 & in 2004, & DICTIONAR ENCICLOPEDIC ROMAN, EDITURA POLITICA, 1966).* The english user should use caution when typeing "România" or "români" as it cannot be spelled, because it uses a character in romanian language. 188.25.107.55 ( talk) 16:27, 4 September 2010 (UTC) reply

• Good proposal. I agree with the user above me. "Romani" was never a term used by the "Rromani" / "Rromane" / "Rom" people. The Romans and Romanians are the rightful owners of terms such as "Roma", "Romani", etc., and they have been using these terms long before the Rromane arrived in Europe, therefore the true meaning should be placed at the top of the list as I have done in my . What does designating term for Romance speaking Europe (Latin Europe) actually mean?

   * români, the plural form of the Romanian word for the Romanian (Rumanian/Roumanian) people. See Romanian language

   * Rumantsch

Reasons for changing the sequence of the use of Romani as nationality:

1. The "Rromane" / "Rromany" / "Rom" people cannot seem to find a correct way of spelling their ethnicity.
2. "Romani" was never a term used by the "Rromany" / "Rromane" / "Rom" people. The Romans and Romanians are the rightful owners of the terms "Roma", "Romani", etc., and they have been using these terms long before the Rromane arrived in Europe, therefore the true meaning should be placed at the top of the list as I have done in my .

      • As another way of spelling "Romany", not as the main way. Basically, as stated before, the Rromane cannot find a proper way of spelling their ethnicity. Why should they get the top spot? So far you're just arguing "Because it's their name!". Well no, it's not. It's just a name that they adopted when they arrived in Europe. The Romans (Latin: Romani) and Romanians (Romanian: Români) have been using these terms long before the arrival of the Rromane from India. P.S. You might want to check out this guideline. It currently says "Not to be confused with Romanians, an unrelated ethnic group."
