So, the facebook group was important, but why no mention of the fact that Shannon Larratt first had him interviewed in 2008? http://news.bmezine.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/pubring/guest/20080318.html

Shannon Larratt first posted about Rick, dubbing him at the time "Skullboy" in 2006:
http://news.bmezine.com/2006/11/13/you-call-yourself-a-misfits-fan/ The body modification community was well aware of Rick for years before the facebook group was made, this should be included.
Strangely someone seems to have reverted/removed his early history, so I've put it back in... There's quite a bit that could be added, someone just needs to dig through the BME posts about him so it can be referenced -- the progression of the tattoos, who did them, etc... There are a few other problems that I'll try and remember to correct when I have a moment. Snowrail ( talk) 13:35, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
I also think it would be worth including a mention of the "copyright" violation in S01E01 of American Horror Story, which Fox settled out of court with him, as well as his appearance in the recent DREDD movie. Snowrail ( talk) 13:35, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
Wait... since when is Tumblr a reliable source?!?! 24.2.160.161 ( talk) 06:56, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
The one uploaded to Wikimedia Commons may be a problem, the photographer Mariano Vivanco and fashion/creative director Nicola Formichetti being uncredited and the line not even out yet. Ownership is uncertain. I have nominated the image for deletion and we'll find out. If it stays we can use it here and in Formichetti's article. DinDraithou ( talk) 02:14, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
"Twenty-Eight year old Rick Genest (“Rico”) will challenge your sensibilities about what you believe to be beautiful. At his core he is a chiaroscuro of both light and dark—part gentle warrior, part anti-establishment artful dodger, and he has serendipitously become the ‘it’ muse for anyone who believes in a brave new world without judgment."

This article is completely copied and pasted from the website http://rickgenest.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=59&Itemid=113 Can it be taken down for something like plagiarism? The tone is clearly totally wrong. 109.148.157.189 ( talk) 13:36, 6 October 2013 (UTC) Emma

The article says that Genest was first introduced to the public on November 13, 2006 in a blog post by Shannon Larratt on BME's ModBlog
and is sourced to that blog. However, the source only verifies the part of the sentence that says there was a blog post, not that this was Genest's first introduction to the mainstream public. Does anyone have a source for this being the first introduction? We'd need some kind of secondary source saying that this is true.

Shouldn't it be "Zombie Boy"? That is more common that "Rick Genest". Joseph A. Spadaro ( talk) 14:21, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
