Sadly, the penalties are useless since the majority faking KSSN's are foreigners frustrated by a restrictive website. I see an even worse possiblity if sites start verifying the names and phone numbers - people sharing KSSN+name+address+phone# lists which is horrible for people's privacy. I believe they have revoked most of this law and placed restrictions on the types of sites that can require this information - probably due to suggestions by law enforcement and banks outside South Korea! 71.196.246.113 ( talk) 22:49, 5 March 2013 (UTC) reply
