I did not find an entry for data redundancy in the Database area, where it could be viewed almost as the opposite of the meaning in engineering: the unnecessary duplication of information which leads to data inconsistencies and anomalies.
I didn't see an article for redundancy in reference to telecommunications. I am not a telecommunications expert, but I am taking a class on it, and was looking up the definition. AceHarding 00:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
