Rebelstar was the game that lead directly to UFO: Enemy Unknown, XCom and Rebelstar Advance. It's a very important game in the history of strategy gaming and I can't understand the "Low" classification. - Zagrebo 22:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
I notice that the link to William Fraser's Java port was removed as a possible copyvio. Actually, Rebelstar is PD, but it would be best to confirm this through OTRS. See Talk:Laser Squad#Public domain. I'd rather not get too involved due to two earlier disputes regarding Laser Squad screenshots, though. -- StuartBrady ( Talk) 13:33, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Was wondering if a cultural references section should be added? A couple of things off the top of my head are the rebels in RS1 named Slartibartfast (from Hitch-hikers' Guide to the Galaxy) and Sid Vicious. RS2 featuring lightsabers and the shuttle being a perfect copy of an Eagle from Space:1999.-- Co fragment ( talk) 13:49, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
