ALT1:... that when Ranjit Sitaram Pandit(pictured) died in 1944, the law in India did not allow his widow an inheritance? Widowed after her barrister husband Ranjit Sitaram Pandit died ... She brought up her children independently because of discriminatory Indian laws dictated that women were not entitled to any inheritance.

Interesting, sad life, on substantial sources, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed and fine. I like the original, talking about his achievements, much better. --
