I added the fact that Randal was watching Transgender porn in the trivia list. JaMiE P 04:10, 4 May 2006 (UTC) reply

He tells Caitlin when she returns to the store to meet Dante for their date, right before she has sex with the corpse. Desmoove 17:12, 27 December 2006 (UTC) reply

Date of birth

I changed Randal's DOB, 'Clerks.' was set on Saturday the 10th of April, 1993. Dante mentions the age of the girl who died as "22, the same as us". 1993 minus 22 equals 1971. not 1974 (It is possible that he was born anytime between April 11, 1970 and April 9, 1971.. but not sure if I should put "1970 or 71" in or just assume 1971.)

But if he's 32 or 33 in Clerks II which is set in 2006, the 1971 thing doesn't work. And Clerks II can't take place in 2003 because of all the references to Return of the King which wouldn't come out until December of that year. At the very very earliest the movie takes place in Spring or Summer 2004 but even that's unlikely due to the all the talk of the upcoming Transformers. I think Clerks II pretty clearly does take place in roughly 2006 and I'm not sure how that can be correlated to it being thirteen years after Clerks takes place and Randal having only aged ten or eleven years

It must take place around 2004, as Elias and the Star Wars-hating fanboy state that Return of the King just swept the Oscars, and Elias says that "Transformers" has not begun filming but will be awesome. Note that a planned pre-production of Transformers was to begin, but it was put on hold. The fanboy also talks about "Mannequin Skywalker" ruining Episode 2, but Randal says that Episode 3 will top the whole series, which is true since Revenge of the Sith did not come out until 2005. In addition, when Pickle Fucker (Jason Lee) comes into Moobys', he says to Randal "32, and you're flipping burgers?" Hence Dante and Randal are 32, and since they are 22 in 1994 during the events of Clerks, this must be set in 2004. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.34.206.128 ( talk) 19:09, 29 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Strictly true?

This statement seems wrong or at lesat misleading:

"but ruins Dante's engagement by congratulating store manager Becky on her pregnancy"

as he annoys Becky by congratulating her (but before the donkey show arrives) but its Jay that ruins the engagement and show by mistakenly congratuating Dante's g/f, during the donkey show.

also:

"Everyone in the restaurant is arrested."

which is not strictly true as Becky is there but runs out, and is seen to keep her job, is not seen in the jail scenes and i cant imagine would have kept her job otherwise.

super nitpicky i know.. but well.. just watch the film and feel the need to stick my oar in. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.200.108.60 ( talk) 20:56, 7 April 2007 (UTC). reply
