Please Note; The R46's were withdrawn from the (D) line in 1981, and this was due to the vibration of the original Rockwell HPT-2 trucks which were causing a series of low frequency thumps, or vibrations along the BMT Brighton Lines right of way, which were causing the concrete foundations of many of the buildings and houses built along the right of way to crack instead of the Rockwell trucks on the R46's assigned to the (D) line at the time. I was re-reading the NYCSubway.org 70s and 80s pages, and something seemed oddly familiar about sections on the R46 Rockwell Hell. Whoever added the section left in numerous words from the NYCSubway.org one. I will leave it up to you guys how to handle this, however, this should've been caught. I say change the picture. The F train image is too old and it is too shadded. So I have removed this from here and replaced this with the erlier A train image. Remember the A took almost all of the R46s from the F from January 2009 to June 2010. So the F train image was very old and dated from 2007. talk 14:37, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

A quick update for you're information; As of February 24, 2020, the R46's are no longer operated on the (F) line, and only about eleven (11) trains or 88 cars remaining @ Jamaica Yard for the (R) line to be reassigned to Coney Island mostly for the (N)/(W) lines, with some on the (G) & (Q) lines as well, and maybe some more to Pitkin Yard for the beefing-up of the (A), and the (C) lines fleets to resume the normal retirement of the remaining 96 + R32's still assigned there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:610B:4600:15D1:E6AD:C40A:709D ( talk) 02:32, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
@ Epicgenius: it's pretty obvious that R46s have been roaming on the N and W for a while, but the sources that are decently reliable only state them as being on the Q (probably because the Upper East Side people are complaining about the jump back in time car-wise). Still since I work for the MTA NYC Transit as a train conductor and I come usually by Astoria Ditmars Boulevard. I have seen R46s on the N and W. The vast majority of the fleet on the N and W (about more than 85%-90%) are now R46s with a few R68s and R68As and R160. Flushing Girl ( talk) 16:35, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

All R46s have now left Jamaica Yard and the Queens Boulevard Line. Just a quick update - as of March 24, 2020 only 24 R46's remains at Jamaica Yard for service on the (R) line, 5498-5501, 5506-09, 5570-73, 5574-77, 5734-37, 5802-05, and may all be gone soon. These cars listed may be transferred to Pitkin Yard instead to kill-off the remaining R32's on the (C) line.
I just found out that almost all of the R46s have now left the R Train and are now on the N Train. So if anyone can make a front picture in the article for the N Train they should add an image for the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard Bound R46 N Train for either 30th Avenue or the Broadway. Well, sorry for spreading more bad news, the R46’s long career at Jamaica Yard is officially over, with the new B Division Car assignment dated April 24, 2020. Also the final twenty R46's still at Jamaica Yard 5498-5501, 5506-09, 5570-77, 5826-29 has all been transferred over to Coney Island Yard in exchange for a equivalent number of R160BS (Siemen's) cars very recently. This new assignment also has all R32's retired from customer service as well.
Apparently the last run was done weeks ago on the evening of April 8th or 9th of 2020. Please update your front page article page accordingly. Thanks.

I'll forgo the irrelevant back-and-forth that happened prior and make this simple: Which of the two following images of the R46 builder plate is better for use in the article? Any bias or rationalizations of my own or of Eti15TrSf (the two warring parties) should have no say. I leave this up to everyone else to decide and will accept whatever the majority rules.
