Comment. Looking at Google Books results there's not much in it "Ron Jarvis" 1660 results
[1] versus "R. G. Jarvis" 1340 results
[2] but the results for 'Ron Jarvis' look very random and don't necessarily relate to this topic.

I agree there are not many sources for this guy; most of those are not, and the ones that are (of the R. G. Jarvis) are from paper citations, not representative of what he would be called in a context that's not so strongly styled toward initials.
