Many High Schools in NY, especially in Queens, share the nickname of Trailer Park High. This includes John Adams and Richmond Hill High Schools (to name 2 off the top of my head). For its first two years it was located in temporary transportable trailers, earning the school the nickname "Trailer Park High".
Hi everyone...the wiki entry for stuy cites an average SAT score of 1410. The avg score for this school is <1100 (according to handout given out at open school night yesterday). WHY so different? Is it because the admissions criteria for Queens sci was lower for the earlier entering class? (because the cutoff was about 503 this year and Stuy's is 558 this year (insideschools.org) and bx science was 510 and tech was 487. Tech's average SAT is 1215 ( http://schools.nyc.gov/daa/SchoolReports/03asr/376430.pdf?%20target=) Why is Queens sci so low?!?!?!
It was because the admissions criteria for Queens sci was lower for the first year, to fill the class. Since then, the average SAT score has increased. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 205.166.218.35 ( talk) 22:49, August 21, 2007 (UTC)

The High Schools web address gives me a 403 Forbidden Error. Can someone clear this up? Magnum Serpentine 19:40, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
The original version of this article came straight from the school's website, so as you might imagine, it was basically a bunch of advertising. Perhaps one of the students from this school would like to look this article over, and make it more accurate, and by accurate I don't mean "vandalize this page with my clever comments about how much this school sucks". Amusing as that is, Wikipedia is not the place for it. Do it on your own pages, or on Uncyclopedia, if they let you do it there. Ldnew 00:13, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
This looks pretty well wikified by now. I think its safe to remove the {{wikify}} tag. (I have done so.) -- Shinmawa 21:50, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Does wikipedia vandalism rise to the level of a CRIMINAL OFFENSE? I don't know, but I suspect that it is.
The latest abuse comes from:
17:26, 12 January 2006 198.61.20.7
This I.P. is the external I.P. for most external internet access from York College. Paul Murtha, the director of Public Safety will be informed tomorrow 13 January, as will Brian Jetter, principal. Should any other vandalism occur, it is relatively easy to get a subpoena against Time Warner Cable (think road-runner) to get te specifics of the vandalism coming from:
cpe-24-193-23-223.nyc.res.rr.com [24.193.23.223]
(In case you didn't know, this is directly TRACEABLE to someons cable account) Maybe, I'll even give my buddy, Greg Powell, (718.358.0900) a call and "informally" ask him for some information...
On the other hand, if the vandalism were to stop, there would be little reason in pursuing those behind the ip that is (and the others) responsible for this vandalism.
If it is students and you are dissatisfied with the school, please continue the vandalism and we will arrange for your transfer to another High School. Perhaps you could start the wikipedia entry for Jamaica High School, Franklin K. Lane, Far Rockaway, Beach Channel, or John Adams (just to name a few) when you've been transferred to one of these schools. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.204.241.87 ( talk • contribs) .
Do we really need the "highlights" section? If an encyclopedia is supposed to be objective, would it really be appropriate to create a section (which comprises the majority of the article), of which the sole purpose would be to list the best features of the school?
I don't have any strong quarrel with the content, but we really need to work on our wording, writing, and configuration.
