I can't find the exact context to include this; it appears the Williamsburgh and Newtown Railroad built the track into Queens on Maspeth Avenue. -- NE2 09:13, 8 January 2007 (UTC) reply

The Williamsburgh and Newtown Railroad and Maspeth Avenue and Toll Bridge Company merged in mid-1867 to form the Maspeth Railroad and Bridge Company. [1]

I'm reading "Brooklyn Streetcars," by the Branford Electric Railway Association and it states that the North Beach Line (BMT Trolley) was part of the Grand Street Line until February 6, 1946. --------- User:DanTD ( talk) 05:34, 4 March 2014 (UTC) reply

Anybody know when this happened? Couldn't find anything about it in a quick newspaper archive search... Headphase ( talk) 06:51, 23 June 2021 (UTC) reply

Streetcar/trolley photo

Article could really use a photo of a GS&NRR/BCR/BMT trolley that was used prior to it becoming a bus route. There must be some usable ones out there! Headphase ( talk) 07:27, 23 June 2021 (UTC) reply
