I am not sure i have come across pull inventory. Pull manufacturing yes, and it may or may not involve inventory. It is possible to have no inventory in a pull system (in the ideal case). How can i tell if inventory is pull inventory ? Surely it is just inventory that is there to smooth out irregularities in the production process; be it push or pull or both.
