The contents of the Let's Sing with Popeye page were merged into Popeye the Sailor filmography (Fleischer Studios). For the contribution history and old versions of the redirected page, please see its history; for the discussion at that location, see its talk page. |
Most of the recent edits to the filmography are questionable because they lack verifiable references to back up the edits. Remember that Dave Fleischer received director credit in every Fleischer cartoon. Above all, the people other than Dave Fleischer mentioned in article should receive "head animator" credit instead of "director" credit. Any edits which mention anyone else besides Dave Fleischer as director will be reverted. From now on, all additional credits which do not show up on screen must be backed by verifiable citations. Any new credits not listed on screen must include verfiable citations. Steelbeard1 ( talk) 10:47, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Re-drawn colour versions, not to be confused with computer colorized versions, of the following Popeye Cartoons were screened on Cartoon Network UK in 2001: Popeye The Sailor / I Yam What I Yam / Wild Elephinks / Shoein Hosses / Shiver Me Timbers / A Dream Walking / The Hyp-Nut-Tist / Dizzy Divers / Bridge Ahoy / Protek The Weakerist (The steroptic effect was not recreated in this re-drawn version)/ I Yam Lovesick / Goonland / Cops Is Always Right / Females is Fickle / Doing Impossikable Stunts / Problem Pappy and Olive's Sweepstake Ticket there were probably a few I missed. Does anyone have any info on why and when these re-drawn colour versions were made? Oh nevermind found the answers here [1] 81.111.127.132 ( talk) 18:46, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Some of the Popeye episodes do indeed have individual wiki articles, but there are many episodes on this list that have a link, but no article has been created. I'm guessing someone did a lot of copying and pasting. I'll let this go for a few days to see if anyone knows why the links are there, when there is no article. Then, I plan to remove the links as appropriate. GaryGo ( talk) 11:15, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
