When the background section was removed, it also removed significant information about some of the Popeye cartoons in this collection, specifically the four 1939 cartoons which do not bear the familiar ship door titles. These are among the earliest Popeye cartoons produced at the new Fleischer Studios location in Miami and there was a citation backing up the general belief that the reason for the new titles was that the ship door artwork was misplaced during the move from New York to Miami. After the four cartoons in question, the ship door titles returned. Should this information be restored in this article?

The details of that information (that is, why the titles are different) properly belongs in an article on Wotta Nightmare, as that's the only place it's relevant (and that's only if you can find a good source; otherwise, it's
speculation and to be avoided). Brief mention of the fact that the titles are different (but not why) can be made in the Fleischer Popeye filmography (which is where it will be soon). Discussion of the restoration of those titles might belong here, since there's no article on Cartoon Network's The Popeye Show (nor should there be), and the details of the restoration would be minutiae anyplace else. An article on a DVD collection of shorts doesn't need any information that doesn't specifically pertain to the production of the DVD itself. Otherwise, you're either duplicating information already present elsewhere, or you're putting information that should be elsewhere in an improper place, citation or not.
Note, however, that
linking an external site like this is not a proper citation method, and the Golden Age Cartoons forum and
IMDb are not reliable reference sources and should not be used. The content sections of Golden Age Cartoons are generally fine, but one should virtually never reference message boards for most Wiki articles. Wikipedia generally uses
APA style referencing (though
MLA is also allowed), and guidelines for how to reference and what sort of references to use can be found at

Jerry Beck's commentary on Wotta Nightmare from this very DVD states the theory about the move to Miami resulting in the unique title cards, but he states definitively that he "does'nt know" the truth. An article on Wotta Nightmare could use the commentary as a source, and cite Beck by name in the text, since his opinion is more notable than most others would be in this situation. --
