Does anyone know where I might find Dr. Allen's essay, "The Patriarchalization of Native American Tribes?" Thanks, Slrubenstein | Talk 16:40, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Anyone know in which of these many persons she lived? -- Enyavar ( talk) 11:57, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
I flagged it. Looking for a section template. - CorbieVreccan ☊ ☼ 20:04, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
User:CorbieVreccan I have doubts that Allen (and her siblings Lee Francis and Carol Lee Sanchez) was enrolled with the Laguna Pueblo. The Laguna Pueblo has a blood quantum requirement of "one-eighth (1/8) or more Laguna blood AND must have a combined total Indian blood equaling one-half (1/2) from a federally recognized tribe(s)." The article says that she "identified with" the Laguna Pueblo, but doesn't say if she was a member. If her father was Lebanese and her mother was mixed Native and white, then she couldn't meet the requirement. That would make her a descendant. This book says her great-grandmother was Laguna and her grandmother was half Laguna. As I was writing this I saw that she is listed in " Unpapered" as a non-enrolled Native descendant. EDIT - my mistake, those are the naturalization requirements. The blood quantum for regular membership is one-quarter Laguna. Either way, she's still not enrolled.
