Since he is, indeed, commonly known as "Paul Barras" (the first fact in the article), wouldn't that be a much better title for this article? One of the first acts of the Revolution in which he was such a prominent figure was the abolition of his noble title, and he didn't become notable to history until after that title had been abolished.
