Merger proposal

The contents on Park Point (Minnesota) and Minnesota Point somewhat overlap each other. -- Dan Leveille ( talk) 18:56, 18 December 2007 (UTC) reply

These articles should be merged together. As a native Minnesotan who visits Duluth every year, I would like to see this merged. They are in fact the same thing, it just has two names.

Merge: I also grew up in the Duluth area (spent my first 24 years there), am back there many times per year, have lots of family there, and agree that Minnesota Point and Park Point should be merged. When people talk about Park Point, they're referring to the beach area at the end of the point, where Sky Harbor International is located. Limasbravo ( talk) 16:45, 25 April 2008 (UTC) reply

-Merge- I grew up in Duluth and lived there for 25 years. When I came across the article about Minnesota Point I was confused at first because I can only remember hearing it called Minnesota Point once. It is called Park Point by everyone that lives there as well as on the road signs. Park Point is considered the entire land mass south of the Aerial Lift Bridge after you leave Canal Park. This should definitely be merged. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.0.229.234 ( talk) 16:40, 2 July 2008 (UTC) reply

-dont merge- I live on minnesota point, minnesota point is the duluth residential area, while park point is the city park given to duluth by the state of MN, park point includes docks, playground, sporting equipment, a beach house, sky harbor airport, and there is also a nature trail which leads to a lot of other historic things behind and alongside the airport. This article should not only be separate from MN point, it should be greatly expanded. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.10.66.6 ( talk) 08:52, 31 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Opposed merger Minnesota Point is a geographical feature and is probably use by the government as such.Thanks- RFD ( talk) 17:16, 11 April 2009 (UTC) reply
