I think joining the two articles will not be necessary. Because:

There should be some kind of link created so that readers can jump from this page (Optometry in Ghana) to the other (Eye care in Ghana). The page "Eye care in Ghana" seems to address the problems and deficits, whereas this page is talking about new developments -- the link made between the two would provide the whole picture of the situation. A merge would also be good, although as pointed out, not extremely necessary. Bstephens393 ( talk) 16:52, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
It seems to me it would make more sense to merge "Optometry in Ghana" into "Eye care in Ghana" since the latter is the more inclusive topic and its article already contains information about ophthalmology, optometry, etc. Scrawlspacer ( talk) 10:59, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
