Has this just been pinched verbatim from the book? -- Septemberfourth476 ( talk) 08:33, 4 June 2009 (UTC) reply

It has not been pinched verbatim from the book. It may need imporvements but it is a useful and important contribution to a topic - cultural foodways - that is deficient in Wikipedia. I will try to deorphan it, but it doesn't help that an article on opson was deleted in January 2008. A number of other articles e.g. Ancient Greek Cuisine, medieval Greek, anopsology, history of bread, phagocyte could usefully have been linked to that.
