Does this really warrant a separate article? Couldn't this be merged to become a section within
open source? --

I think this is a worthwhile article. I've just fleshed it out a bit with more examples of liberated software packages, and an often forgotten note about Interbase's backdoor which was only discovered after the openning of it's code.
One problem though, is that the article was "open source" centric. So to prevent someone from making a truly redundant article ("Liberation of software" or whatever), I've balance the terminology so FS & OS people can share this one.— Preceding
