I am adding back the links [1] and [2] -- they are essentially the same comparison matrix for online spreadsheets but hosted on different platform, the latter requires login, the former doesn't -- to the article because these two remain the most and only comprehensive comparison chart that include almost all players in this field. Since this is a list article, it is difficult to incorporate the amount of details contained in the comparison matrix here, and therefore in this sense these links meet the requirement of WP:EL of "[s]ites that contain neutral and accurate material that cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to ... amount of detail ...". -- John Seward 16:35, 11 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Why do we need two links to the same comparison matrix. If the second link requires login, then why not have only the first link. Suggest removing link 2. Dhshah ( talk) 15:31, 29 February 2008 (UTC) reply
Since nobody has objected, i will proceed to remove link 2. Dhshah ( talk) 14:28, 6 June 2008 (UTC) reply

Listcruft

This page is listcruft IMO, and is unencyclopedic. I'd put it on AfD but I'm lazy Timbatron 07:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Since the article is too small and it can find its own section on this page Comparison of spreadsheets I am requesting all other editors to comment upon this. Edeskonline ( talk) 14:48, 16 July 2008 (UTC) reply

Kanakku deletion

Why was the link to Kanakku removed? It is a valid Spreadsheet application that meets the criteria for inclusion on this page.

Why deleted Gelsheet ?

Dondegroovily, Hope it was an error. Thx —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.135.71.68 ( talk) 01:09, 29 November 2010 (UTC) reply

It was removed because there was no independent sourcing. - MrOllie ( talk) 19:34, 4 October 2011 (UTC) reply

google docs and free software

i think that a misunderstanding of the term Free Software — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.50.157.74 ( talk) 21:16, 29 October 2011 (UTC) reply

I agree. The term "Open Source and Free Software" stated in the title is very clear, and some of the products in this list, including google docs, do not fit this concept. The list should be revised, and maybe could be splitted in two so that we would have three categories: free and open source; freeware; and commercial proprietary (there may be other words, but in any case they should be carefully chosen to not be misleading). +1. I think it should be split: Free Software/Open Source and Proprietary (either costing $0 or more) -- or something along those lines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.167.188.168 ( talk) 03:32, 8 November 2011 (UTC) reply

useless entry

RE: "Online" / "Spreadsheets" / "free" list: almost NONE of the items on the list qualify: Some are not "online" [not SaaS / they are 'put-able' online] / Some are not "spreadsheets" [a sheet-sharer is not a sheet per se, just as a car-hauler is not a "car"] / Some are not "free" [a "trial" version is not a "free version"] / PLUS there's a lot missing [eg, Flexlists] / PLUS the wiki entries for most of the individual "sheets" in this are sales-pitches and/or baffle-gab / this is one of the worse wiki entries i've ever seen — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.224.110.6 ( talk) 13:31, 28 January 2013 (UTC) reply

Page should be called "List of online spreadsheets"

Otherwise it will not be found in Category page "Online spreadsheets". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.244.176.252 ( talk) 16:24, 28 May 2015 (UTC) reply
