I hope you're not trying to imply that the current team and the previous teams are connected. I let the references to the older teams slide during the off season before this team actually skated. Now that they are operating, I would hope this article shifts its focus to them. I encourage you to create articles for the previous team with the same name. I'll help you get them started if you would like. ccwaters 21:01, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
Might want to double check the Utica Devils part of the franchise history. Pretty sure this team was called the "Salt Lake Golden Eagles" and where in the IHL before they where in Saint John. And before that they where the Moncton Golden Hawks (or Golden Flames, not 100% on that, but Brett Hull played for them in Moncton when he was in the Flames farm system). I was skeptical about this Quad Cities until I read this in Glen Falls (Adirondack): [2] The important part :"The AHL extended its deadline for teams to determine home ice locations for next season from May 15 to May 25, said Jason Chaimovitch, a league spokesman.". Typically the AHL wants a firm league roster at the spring meeting (which just concluded). I figured we'd have announcements for any changes by now.
