Surely at 500 million years, these aren't the oldest mountains.
- Mountains aren't forever. Plate tectonics creates them, erosion removes them (read our articles on
orogenesis and
mountain formation to learn more). The phrase "geologic time" exists for a reason.

- That does not strike one as a strong argument to redirect to the Wichita Mountains. I've changed the redirect to the Makhonjwa Mountains, which are definitely older - arguably the oldest. Athæq ( talk) 19:45, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
