The terms Off license and Off Sale are synonymous when describing the particular law or trade restriction, that of purchase of alcoholic beverages for consumption off-premesis. The Off sale article describes that. The Off license when used to describe a type of business establishment, as in this article, is synonymous with the North American Liquor store or Package store.
