Orissa State Film Awards →
Odisha State Film Awards – Resulting from move of "Orissa" to "Odisha" following Requested move process. The page was moved by another editor, but reverted by another on the grounds that the discussion at
Talk:Odisha had no relevance to this article. The discussion is relevant as citations given in this article refer to "Odisha State Film Awards", and point out they are awarded by the Government of Odisha. This page should therefore follow the pattern of all other "Orissa" articles and move to "Odisha".

Oppose for the time being. I sympathize with the rationale for moving, but right now the official name of the topic is
"Orissa State Film Awards". See also the precedent at
Busan International Film Festival: the spelling of the city's name was changed from Pusan to Busan along with the new official romanization of the South Korean government in 2000, but the official name of the festival remained as before. Then when the official name of the festival changed to match the city, the article was moved in accordance with this change.

Comment: Sorry, but an undated application form, which could have been produced at anytime since the film awards were instituted in 1968, proves neither current official use nor, more relevantly, current common use.

I agree with you, I want this article to be moved, but I can't vote for it while the only official Odisha government source mentioned anywhere in the article (as far as I can see) calls them the "Orissa State Film Awards".

Comment: Must admit, I have searched the Government of Odisha's website for some reference since the name of the state changed (any reference would do), but can only find the term State Film Awards. However, there are a few (not necessarily reliable) websites that indicate that Odisha State Film Awards is now the more common name. I can find more references to Orissa State Film Awards, but they all relate to awards prior to the change of the state's name. Videos of the event don't help either, because the signage is all in
Oriya.

Good, that indicates that indeed the name has changed and the official sources are just slow to update. But Wikipedia should, by necessity, be slower still.

Oppose for now. While locational references should change to Odisha, I'm reluctant to support blanket moves for non-locational references, such as this one, without sufficient evidence (and no actual evidence is presented here). --

Oppose as no evidence was presented, that the has name indeed changed.
