Apparently that was the wrong venue for that proposal, as it was speedily closed as 'wrong forum.' Also, the responses received there seem to indicate that there is already a naming convention in place for goats. What is that general naming convention for goats, if anyone knows, and where is it specified? On List of goat breeds, it appears to be random, and my intent was & is to try to standardize the approach. To me, x goat (without parenthesis) makes simple sense as a naming convention, but there seemed to be some contrasting thought in the review, concerning a move of Oberhasli (goat) to Oberhasli goat (this page; one of the article page's current redirects) Comments? duff 10:01, 23 July 2010 (UTC) reply
