We should break down each of the commands and name all the facilites. Some type of infobox would be helpful. Arnabdas ( talk) 15:48, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
I copied the NYPD info box and put in the DOC patch instead of the NYPD patch. It says "Chief of Police" but should be "Chief of Department" probably because of some internal code that automatically refers to the police chief. Could someone fix this please? FYI Correction types: No such thing as a Glock "DAO" service pistol. Glocks use what they call the "safe action" but it is not "DAO". This show how little the NYC cops and corrections really know about firearms... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.209.181 ( talk) 12:59, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
I put in a section for civilian equivalents. I think it could be cleaned up better, maybe with another column. Feel free to edit it. 161.185.151.150 ( talk) 15:28, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
I think having a list of all Commissioners in history as well as a bio for the current one would work. Dora Schriro actually has extensive experience with the on the federal level and is mentioned in several wikipedia articles. 161.185.151.150 ( talk) 15:30, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
The section regarding the power and authority of Correctional Officers has been changed a great deal. A while back, I located some information about what that authority is, and added a source. If someone has a more definitive source it would be a big help. Thanks. Magnolia677 ( talk) 17:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
