For anyone that cares, the title is not correct. There is no standard of transliteration that would use Nasser-al-Din.
Nasser al-Din Shah or
Nasser ad-Din Shah would be correct. Both are equivalent.

I think we should expand that section. Also it should be mentioned that the person who attempted to assassinate him was motivated out of grief for the man he was serving that Naser had killed. This fact is especially important considering how this event is often recalled by critics of the Baha'i Faith. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmehrabi ( talk • contribs) 08:12, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
I DISAGREE. I actualy think that the section on Babi's and Bahai's is misplaced and too big relative to the main subject of this entry; i.e. the Shah in question. I understand that the subject of Babi's and Bahai's is dear to some peoples heart, but the fact is that this man's life and reign did not revolve around the events of Bab and Bahaollah. A passage and link to their respective wikipedia entries would suffice. I also don't think that so much editorializing is appropraite for a site like wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Firoozg ( talk • contribs) 11:17, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Tabish Khair is not a historian. I removed his claim. -- 220.219.8.175 ( talk) 10:58, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
The text under the stamp reads: 1 Toman stamp of 1882. This is incorrect: It is a 10 Francs stamp issued between 1882 and 1884 (Scott catalogue #59). In 1877, Persia adopted a silver standard, whilst the toman was linked to the Gold Napoleon at the rate of 1 toman matching 0.5 Napoleon or 5 francs. So this is converted a 2 Toman stamp.
