Mott transition describes the same effect as this article. That article is focused on the transition, whereas here the topic is the end result of the transition. I think the two should be merged. This seems like a better article, so preferably merge Mott transition here, and not the other way. In addition, there is the stub Mott criterion, which should also be merged.
