Could I query a couple of the terms used, for example, mental defectives and clients in the following sentence? By the mid-19th century in England, the Alleged Lunatics' Friend Society was proclaiming that the new moral treatment was just a new form of repression achieved by mildness, coaxing and solitary confinement; that its emphasis on re-education meant it treated people like children or mental defectives; and that it failed to properly involve clients in decisions about their care. Did ALFS actually use those terms? If not, are they the best translation of what they did use? 81.102.15.200 ( talk) 12:13, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
