The above template statement is correct. Please note that the above author, Hari Prakash Tawari, has copied exactly in his report my first version of this wikipedia entry apparently without the appropriate acknowledgement to the original author (Bci2)!Please also note that the currently improved and contributed version of this entry is now significantly different from the above cited external article --which is not, and was not, the original source of this entry in its first version, which was entirely generated by me before the above cited reference by Hari Prakash Tawari appeared on the web ( and not at an Wikipedia website). Bci2 10:29, 14 April 2010 (UTC). A certain user-- who did not verify his facts-- has already posted improperly on my Talk page a false allegation about such an imaginary copyright violation as described above.
Why are there notes AND references? If the references are used in the article, they should be in-line cited. If not, this section should be removed unless EACH one contributes significantly to the article or topic. - 75.52.164.178 ( talk) 20:21, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
Totally disagree with the above opinion: it may appear rational but it is not. Both Notes and References serve their own purpose that obviously not everyone understands well. Capitalizing words as in the above comment is also a marked infringement of web etiquette--it is like shouting at someone or somebody. Bci2 10:34, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
I just removed a lot of categories that were not defining for this subject, or even completely unrelated (such as Category:Computational complexity theory). See WP:Overcategorization. — David Eppstein ( talk) 05:04, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
This article was cluttered by a huge number of gratuitous image galleries. I've removed them per WP:NOTLINK, but I've copied them below so that any appropriate images can be migrated back into the article once there is text to go with them. Antony-22 ( talk) 22:07, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
I've moved them to /Galleries so as not to clutter the talk page too much. Antony-22 ( talk) 04:34, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
The following images were used only in this article; it makes sense to migrate them to other article where they'd be more useful. Antony-22 ( talk) 05:43, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Update: the images have been migrated. Antony-22 ( talk) 23:51, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
"Hi Bci2. I noticed you added a large number of images in image galleries to Molecular models of DNA. I'm concerned that having so many images is against the image guidelines and makes the article hard to read. I think that it would be best to keep only the most relevant images (and perhaps move some of them to other articles), and have them be inline with the text, as is the standard style, rather than in galleries. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Antony-22 ( talk) 20:09, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Overall, Antony-22, I agree that the number of figures in the last two galleries can be selected to be smaller. However, the steps in the structure determination and molecular modeling section in Gallery 2 would be very hard to follow in a "choppy" fashion, figure by figure in-line. It also is a useful device for in-class presentation as Power Point slides for teachers and graduate students, etc.
Perhaps some of the figures could be transferred to an in-line mode, especially those that are hard to read by being too small. The in-line mode control codes are a bit hard to handle. Any help with the handling of the in-line would be much appreciated. Thank you for your suggestions. Will gradually work to an improved version or versions, but the entry here would also become too long if only in-line were used, and less logically connected; moreover, this new entry is the result of an (unwise) previous condensation of two different entries in Wikipedia by other contributors, without my consent, either implicit or explicit. Bci2 15:17, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Thank you Antony-22 for the improvements made. However a few images that were key are missing from the Gallery-- How can I recover those images from the removed galleries from the talk page of the article? I know it should be possible but I forget how to recover the previous version of the Talk page of that article. Bci2 10:12, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
