Is New York City Police Department actually called "Metropolitan" police department, because this would be the only reason to include it here, otherwise this will become a list of all police dept's that are in a metropolice. Beta m ( talk)

If this article only refers to police force's named "Metropolitan", then it is a disambiguation page a needs to be overhauled as such. If there is a concept named "Metropolitan police" then each force should be cited as such. Right now, there are no citations other than for London's "Metropolitan police force".
