I found this sentence in the article:
"Since about 1993, Metro Transit buses have been allowed to use road shoulders to byp jams."
Since I didn't feel that abbreviations had a place in this article, and the link "jams" didn't link to anything having to do with transit, I changed "byp" to "bypass" and " jams" to " traffic jams." Was this okay? RalphRedFox 03:01, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
This whole article seems very bus-oriented, barely mentioning the light-rail portion of the system. But that is the growing part of the system, while the bus routes are declining (both in frequency and ridership).
I looked for a section on ridership, where I wanted to add something to say that the 1 light-rail line carries 1/7th of the passengers on the whole system, but I didn't see any appropriate place. The only place riders are mentioned is in the leading paragraph, and I didn't feel it belonged there. Why aren't the proposed Arterial Bus Rapid Transit services included in the METRO section like the Red and Orange line BRT services? It appears to me that all are BRTs and all are being developed by Metro, so why are the Arterial Bus Rapid Transit services split out into the "Bus" section? I noticed that the link to St Paul in the B Line section of the ABRT subheading under the Bus Transit heading mistakenly linked to St Paul the Apostle rather than the city of St Paul. I was unconfident as to my ability to fix it, so if anyone could, that would be appreciated Fain136 ( talk) 02:41, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

I've begun removing the term "arterial bus rapid transit" (ABRT) and replacing it with just "bus rapid transit." I know that most of the article regarding ABRT was created at a time when it didn't really have an identity; it was not part of the METRO system and uses letters instead of colors. But now it has been fully embraced as part of the METRO brand and "arterial bus rapid transit" is not used outside of planning purposes. Metro Transit has recognized that the character between arterial bus rapid transit and highway bus rapid transit is slightly different, it is not an intrusive one and they are all known as just "bus rapid transit": for their customers it is the same level of service, reliability, and quality.
