We should have an article on every pyramid and every nome in Ancient Egypt. I'm sure the rest of us can think of other articles we should have.
Cleanup.
To start with, most of the general history articles badly need attention. And I'm told that at least some of the dynasty articles need work. Any other candidates?
Standardize the Chronology.
A boring task, but the benefit of doing it is that you can set the dates !(e.g., why say Khufu lived 2589-2566? As long as you keep the length of his reign correct, or cite a respected source, you can date it 2590-2567 or 2585-2563)

Anyone? I consider this probably the most unimportant of tasks on Wikipedia, but if you believe it needs to be done . . .
Data sorting.
This is a project I'd like to take on some day, & could be applied to more of Wikipedia than just Ancient Egypt. Take one of the standard authorities of history or culture -- Herotodus, the Elder Pliny, the writings of Breasted or Kenneth Kitchen, & see if you can't smoothly merge quotations or information into relevant articles. Probably a good exercise for someone who owns one of those impressive texts, yet can't get access to a research library.

The article says Mentuhotep founded the dynasty, yet in the
List of pharaohs he is placed fourth after Intef I with dates 2060-2010 BC while Intef is earlier in 2134-2117. Is there another Mentuhotep in the 21st century BC who preceded Intef?
User:FeanorStar7
This Mentuhotep is considered to have founded the dynasty, but he was merely a local prince and is therefore not mentioned in many lists, and
Mentuhotep II is numbered as Mentuhotep I instead. See
Eleventh dynasty of Egypt.

I still ain't convinced. Since there is no reference to which King List he was refered to as an actual king, and taking Fornadan commentary above for real, I'd guess this so called Mentuhotep I is actually the first Intef (not to be confused with Intef I), who was called 'Intef the Great, son of Iku'. I base my commentary on Sir Alan Gardiner's Egypt of the Pharaohs, Oxford University Press 1961, pg 438; where the kings of the 11th dynasty are listed as:
May this convince you: He is mentioned in the Karnak-List among the Intefs and in the Heqaib-Sanctuary at Elephantine. Many Egyptologists do not consider him a king but a nomarch of the head of the south and do not give him a number. He was seen during the later 11th dynasty being the founder of the family.--

I don't see the point of adding unsourced material and then putting the "citation needed" template just after it. That said, if you see
this reconstruction of the Turin Canon, it was estimated that Mentuhotep I should have been found in column 6, row 12 (that's Ryholt reconstruction, corresponding to 5.12 of the older one by Alan Gardiner). The sketch within the cartouche has in the past been tentatively read as "Wah[...]" (different reading has been proposed) but as pointed out, "the tiny trace makes a proper identification impossible".

That at the current state of knowledge Mentuhotep I's throne name is still unknown, and it cannot be obtained from the Turin Canon.
